More than twelve years ago now, Rev Connie Phelps, a native Canadian, listened to her heart and moved to Nairobi, Kenya to take the teachings of Science of Mind to a part of the world where, although traditional religion reigns, many are eager and ready to learn new ways of thinking and living.
After some years of teaching and traveling in Kenya, Rev. Connie invited the world to a global conference in Kenya in 2020. At this time, CSL Kenya was recognized formally by CSL as a new Centre and our first five Practitioners passed their oral panels.
In the four years since this inspiring event, our numbers have grown as many more students have taken classes (including students from Egypt, Nigeria, Belgium, and Tanzania), six additional Practitioners have been licensed, and Rev. Gwen Smith and Rev. Barbara Samuel, our co-ministers, have each personally visited Kenya.
We now look forward to our second global Conference and Retreat – 2024: The Heart of Africa – to be held in Nairobi, Kenya in February 2024. We invite all to attend and celebrate the growing impact of the teaching of Science of Mind in Kenya and beyond.
