Thank you to all who contributed to this annual fundraising event. Secret Santa was started three years ago as a way to support our outreach program in the Slum. During the holiday season people in North America sponsor a child or a teacher from Briton School. The money received pays for a Christmas basket of food for the child's family. Any left over money is then used for the daily lunch program for all of the students attending Briton School.
This year, 2024, 121 families received a basket. $12,000 CAD was raised with a huge shout out to CSL Kelowna's amazing generosity, especially Rev. Corrine Crockett and her dedication and willingness to lead this event at CSL Kelowna.
The families received flour, sugar, and cooking oil. All items were sourced locally within or near the Slum. As you can see from the photos and videos it was an amazing success!
Thank you for making it a wonderful holiday for these families.
